Could you be the person to ensure that aid donors are at the forefront of the data revolution? The role: This is an exciting and fast-paced role, leading on the organisation’s advocacy strategy and implementation. It includes managing a team that engages with key targets including the U.S., EU, World Bank and the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) – as well as a broad range of other governments, donor agencies, international organisations and civil society organisations – on the publication and use of open aid data. This is a full-time position based in London and frequent travel is required. Salary: £34-43,000 (depending on experience) Core responsibilities: Leadership and coordination of advocacy strategy: responsible for developing and delivering Publish What You Fund’s overall advocacy strategy, including focus on donor implementation and the integration of other finance flows into the campaign. Direct advocacy: engagement on implementation of aid transparency with donor agencies and partner country governments and representation of Publish What You Fund on the steering committee of the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI). Management and coordination of advocacy team: managing the advocacy team and liaising with external consultants working on Publish What You Fund’s advocacy activities and management of advocacy and communications budget. Coordination with Aid Transparency Index team: working closely on the production and dissemination of an annual Index, including liaising with donor agencies, providing technical advice to agencies and the developing partnerships with CSOs. Mobilising key stakeholders across the world: liaising with partners, policy makers and campaign organisations on advocacy work, ensuring that key partners remain engaged with the campaign. Contribute to overall strategic and financial planning as part of the Senior Management Team: including working with the Communications Manager and the Managing Director on external representation and with the Finance Manager on the advocacy and communications budget.
