Job Announcement!!! Full-Time Crew Chief/Field Director, Boise Office ASM Affiliates, Inc. (ASM) is seeking to fill a single full-time, permanent Crew Chief/Field Director position at its Boise, Idaho office. At ASM, staff Crew Chiefs/Field Directors assist senior staff in implementing survey, testing, monitoring, and data recovery projects, and participating in analytical and report preparation tasks. Specific daily project assignments will range from supervising field crews; descriptive site form and report writing; and assisting senior staff in tracking progress to ensure that all tasks are completed according to project protocols and federal and state regulations, and are done so in a timely manner. This position will require frequent out-of-town travel according to the dynamic seasonal fieldwork schedule. ASM is seeking individuals with extensive experience with the archaeology of Idaho and the Great Basin. In order to be considered for this position, the applicant must clearly demonstrate in their resume a level of regional experience sufficient for listing on ASM’s cultural resource permits. This includes no less than 6 months of field experience in Idaho or northern Nevada and at least 4 years of general experience in the cultural resource management environment. Experience with prehistoric and historical-period archaeological resources, including material culture, is preferred, and good communication and organizational skills are a must. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field, and prior completion of an archaeological field school is required.
