Job Description The Employee Communications Specialist will be responsible for driving employee connection to the business goals through dynamic and informative communications programs. In this role, you will support development and implementation of global employee communications strategy for GE Measurement & Control. Essential Responsibilities include: Develop and execute strategic employee communication plans and strategies for functional leaders that educate and engage employees in business priorities Act as a communications strategist and counsel Develop digital, mobile, broadcast, online, in print, in person communications vehicles in support of the strategy Collaborate with communications leaders to develop messages Tell the stories of the business through newsletters, intranet content and other media Create communication plans for employee campaigns Partner with Oil & Gas to drive employee communication programs Drive qualitative and quantitative campaign reporting metrics, analysis, and ROI Be passionate about communications as a driver for employee engagement Skills & Experience Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Liberal Arts or related discipline Minimum of 5 years of Communications or Marketing experience Desired Characteristics Strong interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills with the ability to conceptualize, structure, write, and present compelling stories for a wide range of audiences Ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization from senior level executives to all other employment segments, and effectively manage in a matrix organization Strong process and project management skills Ability to translate business goals into employee communications Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects while maintaining a high quality of work Experience directly supporting senior business executives Broad knowledge of print, video and digital media technologies Competent in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel Minimum of 3 years of employee communications experience High energy, “can-do” spirit / self-starter Experience in change management in a global organization Ability to translate vision / mission of an organization into actionable, quantitative plans Consistent and successful track record of performance in all areas of responsibility Ability to understand and communicate complex business, legal, regulatory and technical issues clearly and accurately Ability to work with all levels of internal and external stakeholders Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment to create strategy, influence stakeholders, and drive change Superior oral / presentation and written communication skills; highly articulate and able to make key points in direct and compelling manner Strong project management skills, demonstrated ability to deliver on-time and on-budget Ability to multi-task and manage to aggressive deadlines Highly collaborative team-oriented individual Willingness to work both on strategy and execution Company Description Why join one great company when you can join many?
