Job Fair - Canyon Creek Looking for line cooks July 7 2-4 pm (Scarborough Town Center) Line Cooks Canyon Creek Chophouse offers a casual, yet elegant, atmosphere for lunch, dinner or late-night dining. Introduce your palate to our signature Canyon Creek Dip or our bacon wrapped scallops. Follow it with popular favorites like a Centre Cut New York Steak, Market fresh fish or Oven Roasted Prime Rib. The menu is limited to approximately 20 entrees to ensure a high level of execution and service. Complement your meal with one of our many spirits, wines and specialty beers. With service and quality at our core, we strive to ensure that our highest level of execution is showcased in every dish. Canyon Creek is currently looking for line cooks (all positions) at our Scarborough location. As a line cook you will play an important role in consistently providing our guests with an outstanding dining experience, achieved by adhering to our standards of quality and service. We will prepare and support you for success in your role by putting you in an environment that has the highest standards and with a team of people who share a positive attitude and winning mindset, working under a Red Seal Certified Chef. As a Line cook at Canyon Creek you will be responsible for, but not limited to: • Communicating with management prior to shift regarding daily menu needs, special functions or events for the day • Ensuring kitchen is ready for business before restaurant opens (i.e. sanitizes work area, stocks work area, prepares raw ingredients) • Preparing food items to company standards while also accommodating guests special requests • Inspecting food orders to ensure proper plate presentation, portioning and recipe adherence prior to sending food out to guests • Ensuring kitchen is kept clean and sanitized throughout shift and monitor product supply, replenishing when necessary Minimum Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • Previous restaurant/kitchen experience or culinary education • Food Handler Certification • Ability to understand and follow directions from others • Ability to perform basic math functions • Available to work all restaurant operating hours • Proficient in English verbal and written communication • Reliable transportation to and from work If you are interested in these exciting opportunities, please visit the store on July 7th in person between 2-4 pm! 430 Progress Ave. Unit D11 Scarborough, ON M1P5J1 41-296-1400 (Applicants who do not already have legal permission to work in Canada will not be considered)
