Job Posting NESTLE PURINA PETCARE Position Title: Quality Assurance Manager Email Address: [email protected] PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for the management and coordination of an effective factory specific Quality Assurance program based on the principles of Nestle Quality Systems that focuses on continuous improvement through Quality and food safety management systems, statistical process control, automation, NCE and innovation in all areas of the operation. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Develops and manages the implementation of an effective factory specific Quality Assurance program using procedures and statistical techniques to maximize product conformance as established by standard corporate objectives. • Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of the production process throughout the entire operation in order to establish the basis for continuous improvement of the process and hence the product quality. • Responsible for ensuring all elements of the NQMS and FSMS are implemented and maintained. • Implements, updates and audits the quality monitoring scheme for the factory. 2. Responsible for the implementation and management of the process-based Quality Management System which includes: - Setting Quality objectives and KPIs for the factory and providing guidance on key quality initiatives with other members of the management team. - Ensuring full compliance is met with Food Safety Policies and Procedures and mandatory standards such as Regulatory requirements, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 and all elements of the Nestle Quality Management System. 3. Ensures the accurate application and distribution (as per Formula Security and Recovery Operating Standards) of feed formulation software to determine ration formulations of products within established specifications for ingredients and finished products: • Monitors the ingredients used in the plant to ensure the quality of the finished product 4. Manages the work of the Quality Assurance department and provides leadership and direction to other employees relating to the quality of raw materials, Food safety, in- process and finished product: • Involved in the recruitment, development, selection, training, and discipline of employees 5. Investigates causes of consumer or customer complaints and provides written response to Consumer Relations 6. Work with Technical Services to test and validate new products and product improvements: • Coordinates all aspects of new product development • Provides quality and food safety related recommendations for new capital projects 7. Follows all job-related guidelines and procedures for personal, product and factory safety and security 8. Accountable for management and execution the Master Sanitation Plan 9. Oversees the factory Trace Program which includes mock recalls. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education: Completion of a University Degree, preferably a Bachelor of Science or equivalent Experience: 3-5 years of leadership experience in a production environment, preferably within the food industry.
