Job Posting Position: Chief Returning Officer Reports to: SGA/AGE Board Honorarium: $500.00 length of appointment: 1 year Duties: • oversee the annual election for the SGA/AGE; • hire, train and organize staff for elections including polling and counting staff; • ensure the election rules are enforced; • chair the elections committee; • report to the SGA/AGE board on the election; • oversee the election debates; • respond to general inquiries from candidates, electors and the university community. Qualifications: • must be an SGA/AGE Student; • knowledge of elections an asset; • must be able to devote full attention to the tasks at hand on election day; • good organizational skills.
