Job Title: Service technician Mokopane New position / replacement: Replacement Date of employment: As soon as possible Reporting to: Branch Manager Will this person have subordinates: Maybe Workshop Assistant & Workshop Trainee Own Vehicle and driver’s license: Yes Duties: Responsible for the production and maintenance of Company Products and Systems in the Workshop and at Clients Assembling of new Equipment a. Ensuring all the correct parts are available to complete the task b. Cleaning spare parts to ease assembly c. Assembling the equipment d. When the parts don’t fit measure/compare against the drawings e. Check parts for tolerance specifications f. When the parts are found to be outside of the tolerance specifications - inform the inspector and/or supervisor and request new components to complete the job, or request a new job g. Pressure testing the machine for leaks in accordance with CBZ protocol h. Painting the equipment to fit the colour requirements of the client, if spec allows for hand painting i. Touching up external paint jobs if damaged during final assembly j. Completing the work against the job data pack, inclusive of quality inspections k. Obtaining Workshop Supervisor approval Qualifications: Minimum of a grade 10 plus a technical qualification Or a grade 12 with technical experience Minimum Experience required: Minimum of 3 years technical experience within the mining and engineering fields – must have experience in the earth moving field. We only want candidates who Have relevant experience in our field.
