Job description The IT HR/Payroll Systems Analyst provides analytical and technical support for the Highline ePersonality HR/Payroll system. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties not listed may be assigned): Develops, designs, builds, tests, implements, maintains and enhances HR/Payroll system tables, codes, and security. Maintains quality and consistency of eP database information. Troubleshoots, analyzes, detects, identifies and corrects technical problems and deficiencies. Runs scheduled reports and creates reports as needed. Identifies and advises on requirements for upgrade and/or future system needs. Functions as Project Manager for HRIS upgrades and projects. Develops and maintains applicable service agreements. Owns the resolution of vendor problems. Performs related duties as assigned. Desired Skills and Experience KNOWLEDGE OF: Highline ePersonality System knowledge is highly desirable. Various computerized information process flows and impact between the HRIS, Benefits, Human Resources, Payroll and Finance areas; Database structure, operations and administration; Program design, development and coding: o Oracle database o Scripting in languages such as Perl, Windows Scripting Host, SQLPlus, Discoverer, etc. Database implementation and development life cycles; Oracle DBMS Functional Knowledge, including DB Offload/Restore, Trouble Shooting, Recovery and configuration is highly desireable Microsoft Windows Server knowledge is highly desirable; Business system applications; Principles and techniques of systems quality assurance and control; Technical problem solving techniques; Principles of project management, documentation, and technical correspondence; principles of customer service; Demonstrated experience in design, installation and maintenance of various Payroll / HRIS systems including performing major upgrades and assuring solid operations Microsoft Office applications ABILITY TO: Work independently in identifying and resolving issues, concerns and problems; Acquire subject matter expertise in the functions and activities of the department, including applicable laws, rules, regulations, procedures and technical operations; Use troubleshooting and analytical skills; oversee corrections within assigned specialty; Read, interpret and apply complex technical documentation; Analyze, evaluate and integrate business processes and procedures; Write logical, comprehensive, concise reports and correspondence; Demonstrate good customer service and project management skills; Lead and develop project plans and project management; Write scripts Develop reports in Discoverer Manage vendor relationships; Communicate effectively orally and in writing using language understandable to management and staff; Work effectively with vendors, clients, users and management; Develop recommendations and solutions; Promote and maintain a team environment; Work effectively, independently and follow through on assignments; Accept work assignments from multiple managers and work areas; Handle multiple and parallel projects EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE University degree or college diploma or equivalent work experience Four (4) years of progressively professional experience in Information Technology (Database Administration) supporting Human Resources and Payroll. Experience working in a dynamic, multi-project environment. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. Sense of urgency Owns issues, projects until solved. LANGUAGE/WRITING SKILLS Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
