Joel Diaz, Bradleys trainer welcomes Cotto bout Report by: ABS-CBNnews Former world champion Timothy Bradley Jr. has not fought since losing to Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao last April, but his trainer says the American boxer will welcome a match against Puerto Rican star Miguel Cotto. (Bradley) is feeling good, said trainer Joel Diaz in a recent interview. We have plans to come back to the gym in the following week. He still has a little bit of pain on his leg, but right now hes still going to therapy. Other than that, hes good and hes excited to get back to the gym next week, he added. Diaz said he believes Bradley is set to make his ring return in December, and one of the fighters mentioned as a potential opponent is the Puerto Rican Cotto, who is coming off the biggest win of his career against Sergio Martinez. They mentioned Miguel Cotto at one point and that was something that we considered, said Diaz. I know Miguel Cotto is a tough fighter, hes a very strong fighter. I saw him against Martinez. Diaz, however, pointed out that as strong as Cotto is, he is not the biggest of fighters, having also fought at light-welterweight like Bradley. It will be something that, if it comes our way, of course, well take it, Diaz said of a Cotto showdown. That will be a good fight. Those styles make good fights.
