Joels last post was so positive I truly hate to be the bearer of not as great news. His surgeon, an incredibly gifted and compassionate doctor with a depth of grace acknowledged that we had hit a plateau in wound healing. He made a formal plea for rediagnosis of Joels disease through his GI, as he truly feels that is the reason the wound is reopening... again. The appointment is tomorrow morning. It is almost impossible to express how much is riding on this experts opinion. And, how urgent this is becoming. My specific wish from this group is for prayers or positive thoughts that the doctor will be granted the wisdom and humility of Solomon to discern the correct diagnosis and treatment to give Joel back his life. We have learned patience and trust. But, Mama Bear has come out of hibernation and this precious soul needs help to find the plan God has for him. He is awesome, brave, courageous, exceedingly intelligent, and has a lot to offer this world that he wants to give.
