G4102 πίστις pistis pis-tis From G3982; persuasion, that is, credence; moral conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher), especially reliance upon Christ for salvation; abstractly constancy in such profession; by extension the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself: - assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity. Look at the last word for G4102 - FIDELITY. How many preachers preach on that? What does fidelity mean to you? What does it mean to your spouse. Well, it means all that and so much more to HAYAH. Then theres G3982 πείθω peithō pi-tho A primary verb; to convince (by argument, true or false); by analogy to pacify or conciliate (by other fair means); reflexively or passively to assent (to evidence or authority), to rely (by inward certainty): - agree, assure, believe, have confidence, be (wax) content, make friend, obey, persuade, trust, yield. If you miss that word OBEY, you make a grave mistake. For, to believe, is to OBEY, submit to HIS LORDship, and have no other gods before HIM. No idols, no other loves. Sin does just the opposite. Sin is rebellion to HIS LORDship, makes us an infidel and an enemy of the ONE we say we believe in. That may fly with man. But will it hold up for you come judgment day? WILL IT?
