John 10 39 Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp. 40 Then Jesus went back across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing in the early days. Here he stayed 41 and many people came to him. They said, Though John never performed a miraculous sign, all that John said about this man was true. 42 And in that place many believed in Jesus. I must admit I get caught up in pride wanting to be the one that can do that miracle! I want to lay hands and raise the dead, heal the sick, make the blind see and the deaf hear. I want to be used by God in amazing ways. But, it would not be so much about God and his greatness as it would be about me. Sometimes I want more than I have but not because I am seeking God, just because I want it. This is where my flesh fails. That balance between serving God and self-serving behavior.
