John 8:42-45 42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I came from God; I came not of My own accord, but He sent me. 43 Why do you not understand what I say? Because you cannot to hear My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and did not live in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks out of his own (character): for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 And because I tell you the truth, you do not believe Me. ~ Those Jews who did not believe that Jesus was the Son of God, Jesus in no uncertain terms tells them that they are the devils children. They were unwilling to give up their traditions and belief in their own righteousness! Romans 3:23 tells us, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. And in verse 10 of Romans 3, it says, As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. If you think that by being a good person or doing good works that that will get you into heaven, think again! John 3:16 proclaims, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Or in other words, that person shall go to heaven! If you havent asked Jesus Christ into your heart, and asked Him to forgive you of your sins, please, please do so today. None of us are promised tomorrow or even our next breath.
