Named one of Variety’s “10 Producers to Watch” in 2011, Mr. Davidson’s most recent film is The Signal, from director/co-writer William Eubank, and starring Brenton Thwaites and Laurence Fishburne. The film premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and will be released by Focus Features this summer. Davidson has produced acclaimed Sundance Film Festival hits in each of the last four years: Sony Pictures Classics release Take Shelter (2011), from writer/director Jeff Nichols, starring Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain; Magnolia Pictures release Compliance (2012), from writer/director Craig Zobel; CBS Films release The Kings of Summer (2013), directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts from The Black List-cited script by Chris Galletta; and this year’s upcoming Focus Features release, The Signal, from writer/director William Eubank, starring Brenton Thwaites and Laurence Fishburne. Davidson, a Greater Cleveland, Ohio native and resident, also produced The Year That Trembled (2002) and Swedish Auto (2006).
