Join host Al Martin and special guest Greg “Special K” Kelser in the WKAR-TV studios as part of the live audience for the new television series Current Sports. The first episode for this weekly program will be recorded on Thursday. Kelser, a former Spartan and NBA star who is now a TV color analyst will be the program’s premiere guest. It will air Sept. 12, at 10 p.m. on WKAR-TV. Seating is free, but reservations are required and can be made online at WKAR.org. Audience must arrive by 6 p.m. for check-in and seating. Taping starts at 6:30 p.m. Martin also hosts Current Sports on WKAR AM/870. The program airs weekdays at 1 p.m. and includes not only interviews with those involved with a variety of sports in the mid-Michigan area but also explores current issues in the sports world. Martin has been with WKAR since April, coming to the station from WLNS-TV6 in Lansing.
