Join the CAJ #Toronto at a casual pub night followed by our annual general meeting on May 29 at The Jason George (thejasongeorge.ca) in downtown Toronto! Starting at 7 p.m., we invite you to come grab a drink with us and meet some great and upcoming names in Canadian journalism. The pub night is open to anyone, whether youre a member or not :) there is no cover for this event either CAJ Toronto will also expand on valuable skills some members learned at the annual CAJ conference recently held in Vancouver. After weve all chatted and caught up over drinks, there will be an AGM ( roughly at 8:45 p.m.) for CAJ members. (Its never too late to join, by the way: caj.ca/?page_id=276) We will be electing folks for the following volunteer positions with the Toronto chapter - for the 2014/2015 executive council - so if youre a member and youre interested in helping us organize speaker events and workshops for the upcoming year, do get in touch/show up: 1) President 2) Vice-president 3) Treasurer 4) Secretary 5) Event coordinator (could be two or more) 6) Community manager 7) Toronto representative to the national CAJ board Members can nominate themselves as well as each other to any position. Even if youve never volunteered with us before, its never too late to start now!
