Joint Antiterrorism Training Exercise conducted at Tooele Army Depot, Tuesday, 12 August. Joint participation from TEADs emergency services, Emergency Operations Operations Center (EOC), terrorist actors, observers from higher headquarters, Joint Munitions Command (JMC) and internal evaluators. Exercise scenario consisted of four terrorists penetrating an administrative building within the Ammunition Operations, taking hostages and killing some. Exercise provided realistic hands-on training to the force protection agencies and the entire installation employees for real-life terrorism situations. The exercise allowed the depot to activate their local Mutual Aid Agreements with local Tooele and Grantsville City Police responders. The Salt Lake City Unified FBI squad also participated with their English and Spanish speaking hostage negotiators, robots, and mobile command post. Excellent training and opportunity to communicate with local security units.
