Joni Ernst tries to hide behind the flag while promoting herself as an Iowa Values farm girl. No wonder her nickname is Phony Joni ... she is living a huge lie and now she is trying to sell it to the rest of us. 1) Joni Ernst is being openly contemptuous about the President, who is the Commander in Chief. DoD personnel, and that includes National Guard members, are not to make public political comments, campaign, raise money, etc. UNLESS it is approved by the Secretary of Defense. This is something he cannot delegate. Pres Eisenhower, and many other officers, did not even vote in elections. They wanted to keep the distinction between the military and the political leaders very clear. I understand that Joni got her name on the Republican ballot to run for state senator, and THEN asked her commanding officer. When this was challenged by several veterans in her district, they ended up losing their jobs! 2) Joni Ernsts contempt for the Constitution shows when at a 2012 at an NRA rally she said My Gun will defend me if the government decides My Rights Are No Longer Important. This is a real HOLY COW statement for ANY military officer to say! This is a borderline treasonous/muntinous statement! Military officers are NOT to make public statements against our government, no matter how much they disagree! She was saying she would shoot other soldiers, for crying out loud!!! If she disagrees that much, the proper thing to do is resign ... and then say whatever you want Ernst not only shows contempt of the Constitution, but contempt for the judgment of all her superior officers. If she really thinks Generals will send orders to troops that are in violation of the Constitution, Joni Ernst has emotional and mental stability issues that make her unfit to be in any elective office. 3) Then of course, you can go back to the beginning when she was in ROTC cadet at ISU and started fornicating with her instructor Gail Ernst. That lead to a divorce between Gail and Ingrid, and Joni then married Gail. That is strictly against military rules and protocols. In todays ROTC they would have both been booted out on their asses. Just ask (ex-DM Supt of Schools) Nancy Sebrings former lover ... this married officer is now ex-military also. Not to be finished as a home-wrecker, Joni tried to use her Iowa Legislator office and influence to reduce Ingrids (and other divorcees) share of National Guard retirement benefits! Not content to be a home-wrecker, Joni ALSO tried to financially harm the woman whose marriage she had invaded. Its simple ... we dont vote for the Drama-queen Ernst, she is schizophrenic damaged goods.
