Jordans playing baseball with the neighborhood kids in the yard in front of our house. It took a while for them to let him play (thank you to the bigger kid who included him). Im sitting here watching while noone can make contact with the ball, probably due to the fact they dont exactly have the greatest pitchers in the league. Jordan kept begging to bat and they kind of blew him off. I reached in my car for a minute and when I looked over he was standing there at bat. I was about to intervene because he was standing in a righty stance but swings lefty. Before I could get a word out of my mouth he made contact with the ball somehow and it went flying the other way. Thank god they have very few rules in this little neighborhood home opener because he started running around them all as they yelled, Homerun!! Homerun!! The smile on my face had to be as big as his when he ran over home plate. He ran straight towards me and gave me a huge bear hug!! I made sure I whispered in his ear and reminded him that he was the only one to get a homerun in the whole game!!! Opportunities like this one dont happen often for him. He was so excited to just be standing there with the boys let alone to get a homerun. Talk about bittersweet... ❤💛❤
