Jose Mourinho ready to risk Samuel Etoo against PSG - but only if he can train on Monday Jose Mourinho is ready to take a huge Champions League gamble on Samuel Etoo - but only if he trains today. Blues boss Mourinho is desperate for the Cameroonian veteran to lead his Chelsea line for their comeback mission against Paris Saint-Germain. Chelsea expected Etoo to return within 10 days of the March 22 injury but instead Mourinho fears he will have to revert to out-of-favour Fernando Torres. Asked if Etoo could be fit, Mourinho held his thumb and fore-finger together, with a sliver of space between them, before explaining: Lets see, lets see. I wanted Etoo to be on the bench on Saturday and play 15 or 20 minutes but he was not fit enough. He did not train with the team on Sunday, so we have to see. Maybe I will pick him. But to risk a player, you need to have minimum conditions to take that risk. If you think hes going to be out after 10 minutes of the game, you cant take that risk. If there is a minimum of conditions of risk, then yes. And the Chelsea chief added: We need to score goals. If we dont score a minimum of two goals, we are out. We know that.
