Joshua Nkomo, in full Joshua Mqabuko Nyongolo Nkomo (born June 19, 1917, Semokwe Reserve, Matabeleland, Rhodesia [now Zimbabwe]—died July 1, 1999, Harare, Zimbabwe), black nationalist in Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia), who, as leader of the Zimbabwe African People’s Union (ZAPU), was Prime Minister Robert Mugabe’s longtime rival. I salute this man he was a commander to my Father the late Major General Benjamin Bungu who joined ZIPRA in 0n 26 February 1973 in Zambia and went to Morogoro trainning camp. Then went to Russia, and Romania. Joshua Nkomo was a unifying figure among all the tribes, a man of peace, harmony and a heroe Father Zimbabwe!! At one time he helped Strive Masiwa to obtain his licence of Econet when Joyce Mujuru the then Minister of Posts and Telecommunication was refusing to grant Masiwa with a licence!!! comment Joshua Nyongolo Mqabuko Nkomo was a great man who has a vision for a better zimbabwe, interms of business and peace loving leader thats why he signed the 1987 peace accord to save the lives of the people who were massaccred during Gukurahundi, what do you think about this man??
