Judging from the posts on Facebook Labour had a good pre-election congress all of my Facebook friends in the party are busy pushing out lines from Cunliffes speech and policy announcements. But for me the one policy that doesnt appear to have got a look in is low pay. Cunliffe said he wanted to put all New Zealanders first. How do you do that without addressing low pay and taxation on every dollar earned. Without a firm commitment to the living wage and a tax threshold that enables the low paid, yes the living wage is still low pay to have disposable income you are still leaving the very people Labour are supposed to represent behind. Why?
