Judicial Retention Vote... Some might argue that the real issue is not the partisan battle over whether these judges are Democrats or Republicans, but the more fundamental question of whether they have accepted and held office in violation of the Tennessee Constitution which expressly declares that they are to be elected - that is SELECTED - by the people. If you believe that the Constitutional right has been impaired or ignored, then vote all of the states appellate judges out - not just the Democrats like the state GOP (Haslam and Ramsey) are asking you to do. If you just want to be a partisan then vote for or against the judges based on what party you think they belong to. If you just want to be a pawn, make no independent assessment and do whatever Bill Haslam, Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey and other partisan leaders claim is the correct course of action.
