Julia and I knocked the broken wooden door angrily at the dilapidated house. No one answered. We went to the backyard cautiously to see what was going on. We saw a tricycle with one wheel missing and the were many rubbish and dirt in the clogged drain. The dried leaves were not swept either. We heard the echoes of the crow as it was getting dark. Julia and I walked into the house carefully and the clanging sound of the wooden floor sent a chill down our spines. And we thought we were as cool as a cucumber until we saw our bosom friend that we thought she had transferred school, Hilton, was lying helplessly on the ground. We were terrified and speechless. We dare not to touch or even stare at Hilton. She could not move either and she was not awake. After a few minutes of thinking, we made up our mind to call the police. We were shivering while waiting for the police to arrive at the scene. Both of us were about to cry. The police arrived with the an ambulance. The medics carried Hilton promptly with a stretcher. Julia and I were brought to the police station for further information. We tried to look cool but it was an epic fail. We were as timid as a mouse. The polices questioned us with various types of questions. Undoubtedly, we answered the questions honestly because honesty is the best policy. Although we were afraid that the police would suspect us involving in the severe injury of Hilton. We went home late at midnight after the police contacted our devoted parents. Our parents were nagging all the way home and I glared at them with my ferocious eyes. Well, I felt sorry for Hilton though. I was sustained from school over a period. Hilton was all the thing that stuck on my mind. I thought I was going crazy. I called Julia to pay Hilton a visit at the hospital. Julia did not answer my phone so I went to the hospital my myself. I sneaked out of my room through the window. I knew it was quite menacing but I had to. I walked worriedly. (TO BE CONTINUED. SUGGESTION PLS)
