July 27, 2013 FINAL News Item – Tropical Storm Dorian Degenerates NASSAU, The Bahamas - Tropical Storm Dorian degenerates into a tropical wave as its remnants move rapidly westward, the Bahamas Department of Meteorology advised Saturday at 6 p.m. In its final advisory, the Met Department reports that the satellite-derived wind data indicates that Dorian no longer has a closed surface circulation. At 5p.m. the remnants of Dorian were located near latitude 18.9-north longitude 54.7 west. The remnants are moving rapidly westward at 24 mph. Maximum sustained winds associated with the wave are near 40 mph with higher gusts.
