July 9, 2013 – Day 49 We traveled back to the Chicago. David decided Megan and I needed a little culture so we went to the Museum of Science and Industry. The coolest part would have been an exhibit on…. drum roll please… bikes! The exhibit was called the “The Art of Bicycles.” They had really old bikes made completely out of wood to 2013 bikes. I feel in love with the 2013 Cannondale Super6 EVO. Its frame alone weighed 1.5 pounds. That is light! It was really pretty too! They also had a cardboard bike that cost just $20 to make. They had more 2013 bikes which all were off the charts! My second favorite exhibit would have been the Chicks exhibit (on Genetics). I stood and watched baby chicks hatch and newly hatched chicks until Megan and David dragged me away. David’s favorite exhibit would have been the exhibit on the U-505 (a u-boat captured in 1944.) The exhibit focused on the War World II and the capture of the u-boat. Megan liked the whole thing and cannot choose a favorite. After leaving the museum, we went to pick Eddie up from the airport. We were early and missed the cell phone lot so we just circled the terminals about 12 times. David was practicing (though he did not need too.) David is an AMAZING driver. We picked up Eddie and headed back to camp. Well off to a shower …
