Junior Legal Counsel Roche - Dubai Job Summary / Overall Purpose: · Support the Head of Legal and the Legal Department in providing legal advice. · Preparing legal documents and displays concern for quality. · Be responsible and able to comply with company confidential information. Key Liaisons and Customers: Internal External · Head of Legal · Head of Regions and Operations Managers · Various Departments: Finance, Supply Chain, Business Support, HR, Professional Service and IT, Communication, etc. · Business Partners · External Legal Counsels Key Duties and Essential Job Functions: Legal and Compliance Preparation of wide variety of legal documents and contracts under the supervision of the Head of Legal Conduct legal research and data analysis as directed Convey legal advice and follow-up information to Head of Legal, in consultation with external lawyers if need be, regarding risks and legal liabilities of actual policies, practices and contractual situations Negotiate specific contractual issues and agreements with external parties as appropriate Attend meetings and conferences for negotiation of various agreements Remain up-to-date with new relevant legislation and prepare summary for Head of Legal Liaise with government officials, business divisions, external law offices and management on various legal issues Ensure compliance with the corporate policies, processes and with Roche Code of Conduct and compliance rules Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Who you are In hiring new employees, we look for people who are also inspired by our mission and who would fit in well with the collaborative, rigorous and entrepreneurial spirit of the company culture. Experience and Qualifications Essential Minimum At least 2 years as Junior Legal Counsel (Healthcare Industry with international activities) Desirable Baccalaureate, Law graduate or post-graduate Key Competencies Knowledge of Middle East laws, including but not limited to Commercial, Corporate, Labor laws, etc. Fluency in written and spoken English - Arabic a plus High attention to details Display concern for order and quality Have ability to plan and prioritize work to manage time effectively and accomplish assigned tasks Have the following values: Integrity, Confidentiality and Committment Be efficient Be very organized Display a positive attitude Ability to work under pressure and cope with stress The next step is yours.
