Just HAD to share another story of how It Works products can dramatically change a persons life (and reinforce yet again why I am in this business): I weighed 89 lbs when I joined It Works. My health was failing me horribly. I was on about 8 medications for Anxiety, Depression, Fibromyalgia, sleep issues, major pain, muscle relaxers etc. I didnt want to live, I was miserable. You see 7 years ago I broke my neck at c-2 but the Dr didnt see it. So I went months in pain, he told me it was all in my head and sent me to a Shrink. When that didnt work he sent me back to PT and put me on more meds. Finally he literally GAVE UP ON ME! Told me there was nothing wrong and sent me back into the world to live out my NEW NORMAL, which was constant pain. 4 Months after the original injury I broke my neck again! This time so good I couldnt move or feel my right side. I am a salon owner and the first accident happened 6 weeks after opening my second salon. As you can imagine I was not able to take any time off at all so my injuries never had a proper chance to heal, then came the big one with the second neck break at c-2, when I couldnt feel the right side. I thought I was done for good, God had a different plan. I took off 1 week and when I went back, one of my co-workers picked me up and drove me to and from work. I cut hair in a neck brace for a long time. After I healed from this I was still experiencing numbness and severe pain so I went to a well known neurologist who informed me I had a cyst in my brain, wrapped around my pineal gland. Studies and test were done to the point I felt like a science project and the only thing that accomplished was: 1) I was diagnosed borderline narcoleptic and I had a choice to medicate it or deal, I chose to deal. 2) I was given a ton more meds for my pains and neurological issues. 3) I underwent every alternative therapy I could find to improve my life. 4) I only got worse. Then 3 years later I was trying to embrace life again. I was on my snowmobile when I struck a tree with my helmet, causing me to hyper-extend my back. I was improving pretty good, just kind of stiff still. I was coming out of my Chiropractors office when I slipped on the ice on the sidewalk. I completely separated my S-I joints and destroyed a disc. I found myself back at the bottom of the hole I just barely climbed out of. My husband was a Gym owner at the time and a big proponent of alternative therapy, I was so desperate I would try anything and I did! Some very odd options out there that dont work! I continued to suffer for 4 more years, finding a bit of relief here and a touch there but not a real solution and I continued to sink down the rabbit hole. I put on a brave face everyday and went to work to fake it till I could make it. Since my husband was in the fitness/nutrition industry for 20 years a friend of mine asked Leroux to look at the products for It Works. Asked him if he could find anything wrong with the ingredient list, he was stunned. The products were so clean and he loved what he saw. This was in May of 2012. He joined It Works and I was livid!! I had built my Rodan and Fields business to level 3, I had worked my tooshy off! I felt betrayed! So I quit RF and refused to look at It Works, Im stubborn, headstrong and Irish! Finally in January of 2013 my mom, Rosie Moats finally got me to enroll. I didnt know anything as Leroux never did anything with his business except use the 4 wraps he enrolled with. I trusted my mom when she said youve got to do this business. I enrolled on January 3rd and didnt touch it until the 20th. I was a Ruby by February and still had not tried a thing. Just knew I needed to get out of the Salon Industry, it was killing me. I started on the greens, then the Confianza, added relief in March or so. I was Diamond by April and thought I better try this crazy wrap thing. I had heard it was great for cleaning out the body so I wrapped my back, I turned the Ultimate body applicator length wise down my back, 2 hours later I felt drunk! I had quit drinking 3 years prior because it flared my pain so bad. Wow, I took that baby off my back and when I was getting ready for bed I noticed I had an 8 pack. I have NEVER had abs! My skinny little body always looked like one of those poor Ethiopian kids that are starving. Belly poking out, I looked perpetually pregnant and Ive never had kids. I was able to go a FULL WEEK WITH NO PAIN MEDS!!!! I now wrap when my pain goes up. Works every time! I also got to talk with CJ Do Werk at Seattle boot camp and he helped me change up my Regimen and I am now PAIN FREE AFTER 7 1/2 LONG MISERABLE YEARS. Because of that leap of faith and the fact my husband embraced It Works at the same time I did (he is now a double diamond, almost triple) I am happy to announce that I am retiring from my 18 year Cosmetology career this January.
