Just Sharing…a Thought: “Cast your burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved”. Psalms 55:22 “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you”. I Peter 5:6&7 Do we as children of the One true God, do we, trust Him? I mean do we trust Him that He will make the right decision for our life? That He can really handle our problems? If that is yes, then do we have a problem with “humbling ourselves under the mighty hand of God”? Well, do we, do you? Then why is it that I have realized, when counseling with quite a few over the years, that it is difficult or hard for many to “cast their burden upon the Lord”? Or, to “cast all their care upon Him”? It seems that many say, ‘Yes, I know, I need to do that’, but then just keep on haggling with the burden, or worrying with the upsetting care. They say ‘Lord, here is the burden or care, and then keep holding on to it; worrying about it or just continue to complain about it. For our Lord to “sustain us” we must actually give it up to Him. Not just kinda hold it toward Him, but throw it down at His feet. ‘I can’t handle this Lord, it is controlling me and consuming me, here Lord I cast this upon You, as You have instructed me to do’. Admitting that ‘this’ burden is more than you can bear, that ‘this’ care is controlling you and these things are trying to overcome your ability to cope, to have freedom of life. Be real, be truthful and ‘cast it upon Him’. “He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved”. Through trust in your Lord these ‘burdens and cares’ will not control you any longer, they will not overcome you; you will now be sustained by Him, you can now stand firm and in control and by Him you “shall not be moved”. Praise You, Lord! At the right time, as I have humbled myself in trust and honor to my Lord and the truth of His word, He will lift me up and to come out of the situation, the problem, the overwhelming care in my life, with my head high, eyes open and reality of knowing that I am above all this and my Lord is standing right beside me, with His arm around me giving me confidence, love, strength and true saturating care. It’s like I know that I know that “He cares for me”. Not making me feel weak or wimpy, but right, clear conscious and assured that I am coming through this and every situation an overcomer. Understanding why and how, that this is real and Who made it to be so. Learning that I don’t ever have to be controlled by situations, cares of this life or burdens thrown upon me. I can always be in control and solve each problem, understanding that as all these now come I can be made stronger through them, as He has exalted my reasoning and thought pattern with a steady strength and growth in faith, knowing that He will “sustain me” and that nothing will “move me” as my feet are firmly planted upon the Rock, the Truth, Jesus Christ. “He is a Rock. What He does is perfect. All His ways are fair. He is a God of Truth, Who does no wrong. He is honorable and reliable”. Deuteronomy 32:4 AMEN. Bro.
