Just a few thoughts from a weary mind... I dont know about you, - TopicsExpress

Just a few thoughts from a weary mind... I dont know about you, but I am exhausted and grateful that October 2013 is behind us all. Seems like the longer it dragged on, the more senseless the shameful pink abuse became. Then, with a bang~ party through Halloween and Dia de Los Muertes, we arrive at November and All Saints Day. I would ask that we all take a few minutes, take some deep cleansing breaths, and remember why we all fight our way through October, whether you are pro or con in the pink debates. We are all bound together on common ground of being diagnosed with MBC, have lost some one to it, or are in care of someone going through it. A day late, but maybe not... Those who celebrate Dia de Los Muertes, you may already be in the frame of mind to be remembering and praying for those who have passed on. We can all relate to that practice as we have had losses in our MBC community that are our friends, they are also someones sister, brother, cousin, aunt... the time we had to get to know them was too short. Today, on All Saints Day, take time to especially remember and pray for all of the moms that have been lost too young, whether it is your own mom or a friend who was a mom to young kids who still need her. Jesus teaches us, in Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Today is a perfect day to reflect on that as I know, personally, most of the women I know who have died because of MBC have been young moms, and my heart hurts from these losses. To remember and know of the blessings and comforts that I receive as I mourn is one of the motivators that keep me going and make me a stronger advocate. Many blessings to you all today, and everyday.
