Just a little story to show what hard work and dedication can do for you..... 3 years ago in a playoff football game a linebacker for the Bremond Tigers went down with a neck injury in the last half of the game. However that injury did not keep him off the field for the remainder of that game. He later on stripped the ball from the ball carrier and one of his teammates recovered the ball in the endzone for a game clinching touchdown. He went on to play in 2 more playoff games that same season as the Tigers made a state semifinal. However that is not the important part of the story. As this linebackers senior year in high school ended, he got a call to play football at a prestigious program. However that neck injury he sustained still gave him problems and he was not sure if he would ever be able to play the game he loves at the next level. After a summer full of workouts and rehab for his neck, he was granted permission to play collegiate football. However since this player was at a prestigious football program, he knew he would have a hard time ever getting to play. But he did not quit and kept working as hard as he could day in and day out. Now 2 years after his redshirt season, this small 1a school player is going to be able to start special teams for The Texas Tech University. I am proud to call this player my former teammate, but even more proud to call him my brother! Even tho the game is being played on a Friday night I just wanted to let you all know about this accomplishment my brother has achieved. It is truly a blessing not just for him to be able to play, but for me to be able to show everyone my older brother running down the football field and doing what he loves to all of my friends.
