Just a note to let you all know that I will be leaving CCE Milton - TopicsExpress

Just a note to let you all know that I will be leaving CCE Milton Keynes on Thursday 28th August to start a new role as General Manager at Slush Puppie based in High Wycombe. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank You for the support and friendship shown over the last 25 ½ Years ( over half My Life) working at MK. It has been a real Rollercoaster ride sometimes but I wouldn’t change it for the world. When I started work at MK back in 1989 we had only just had a second Canning Line installed which was then the fastest Line in the World. Just 2 Lines back then, who would guess that we now have 10 including the Arca line. Madonna was no-1 with ’ Like a Prayer’ The Best summer Tune was ‘ Back To Life , Back To Reality’ Soul II Soul. Mobile phones looked like Bricks and you were a “Yuppie” if you owned one. ( not many people did) Arsenal won the old First Division title, and Theo Walcott was born. Don Revie died. Electronic Tagging of Criminals was introduced, Margaret Thatcher completed 10 years as PM 94 Fans died in the FA Cup semi Final at Hillsborough, Nick Faldo became the first English winner of the Masters. The Berlin Wall falls and brings reunification to Germany, and the Cold War between East and West ends. Wallace and Gromit hit the Big Screen. I have seen many changes in My time here and have worked under 10 General Managers. I wonder how many of You could name them all? The one thing that I can say is that I will genuinely miss the friendship, loyalty, fun and Opportunity to work with some truly wonderful and remarkable people. Special Thanks to Mark Ebdon for some great opportunities and encouragement on secondment, and to Keith Allen for the courses, support, inspiration and mentoring. Special Thanks also to the 38 people that attended My Leaving Drink last Saturday and to the Social Club for putting some Money behind the Bar to top up My personal Tab. A truly great night had by all. This has not been a very easy decision to make at all, but a great opportunity has come my way and I could not turn it down. I will keep in touch with as many people as I can, by social media and through the Mountain Bike Club. I will be going on next year’s ride. I would like to wish you all the very best of Luck, and success in the future at MK
