Just a personal update. I have made a hard decision per the request of my body ( our bodies talk but this girl hasnt always been a very good listener ) to forgo the 6th chemo treatment due to my body saying it might not make it through as #5 about did me in. My oncologist was pleased with the results upon examination. I am probably looking at a surgery date within the next 2 to 3 weeks. I have also made the decision to give my body a reprieve (?) somewhat anyway and do reconstruction later, possibly in Tulsa. If all goes well I will head home sometime in April, Lord willing. Hats off to my brave family and friends that continue to endure these harsh WI winters. Thank you friends that have understood my being in a chemo bubble the last few months. I hadnt intended to withdraw but it happened. I have gotten homesick also and do look forward to my being able to return to warmer temps ( I know ~ suck it up wimpy LOL! ). Surgery will not be easy on this aging body and I marvel at how my courageous Mom did it, being the same age, having kids still at home and working! Hats off to my friend Missy Gallagher Socha and Michelle Kesler McDowell and a brave gal in MO named Lyndsie Blythe! You ran the whole race! I am proud of me in a way for choosing to listen to my body as my tendency has always been to neglect it or abuse it with food. All I can do is leave it in a Good Gods hands and trust Him. Lots of love to you all and thanks again SO MUCH for the love, support, prayers and thoughts sent my way!
