I attended two significant funerals this week. A large family - TopicsExpress

I attended two significant funerals this week. A large family said farewell to Irma Bobenhouse, their 96 year old mother. Yesterday 1200 people said goodbye to Linda Bisignano, owner of Chucks Restaurant. Both funerals included beautiful music. Linda had small cards printed for attendees with the lyrics to Bob Dylans song, Forever Young. He is one of my favorites (we named my son Dylan) and I have listened to that song many times, but reading the lyrics, makes it even more touching when you are saying goodbye to a friend. It is not always easy to understand Bob Dylan; here are the lyrics. May God bless and keep you always May your wishes all come true May you always do for others And let others do for you May you build a ladder to the stars And climb on every rung REFRAIN May you stay forever young Forever young, forever young May you stay forever young May you grow up to be righteous May you grow up to be true May you always know the truth And see the lights surrounding you May you always be courageous Stand upright and be strong REFRAIN May your hands always be busy May your feet always be swift May you have a strong foundation When the winds of changes shift May your heart always be joyful And may your song always be sung REFRAIN (BOTH LINDA AND IRMA WERE FOREVER YOUNG)
