Just a thought... Over the last year 6730 million pounds has been spent on UK National Lottery Tickets. The UK National Lottery has been going 20 years now. Most lottery players claim not to really notice their weekly lottery spend, or at least they manage without the £1, £2, £5...or whatever they spend per week. Now...Im not going to get all preachy but with such huge numbers its hard not to: 6730 million x 20 = 1. A whole lot of more money for nurses 2. A decent pay rise for teachers 3. More money for elderly people who cant afford to heat their homes 4. Help for those relying on social security because of illness, redundancy, cost of childcare etc etc. Im not going to say any more because the numbers speak for themselves really. Although I will point out that although about 1800 million pounds goes on National Lottery funded projects the rest goes to the prize winners and into Camelots pockets. You know what Im implying...Ill let you get there yourself.
