Just a tiny look into the manic-depressive - TopicsExpress

Just a tiny look into the manic-depressive mind. Manic-depression is: The tendency for someone to push their joy to ecstatic levels, no matter the expense. The tendency for someone to internalize their sadness to levels beyond dangerous to themselves and their psyche. A manic state is like: A car stuck with a wide open throttle and no brakes. Sleeping ceases over time. Thoughts become a never ending chain reaction. All impulses are acted upon with gusto. A depressive state is like: An enemy who follows you everywhere, and knows your every move - Constantly sabotaging and berating you, and trying to do you harm - Except the enemy is actually your own sadness. A mixed state (manic/depressive) is like: An open floodgate of self-destructive thoughts, with an overwhelming abundance of energy and enthusiasm with which to act upon those thoughts.
