Just added a note on a post shared by a pal, urging people not to repost it. Im all for free speech, but there are posts we might be tempted to share being generated by really unsavoury sources. So, if you see something you want to share, check out a) if its genuine and b) where it originates. Lets say the seemingly innocuous post you want to share originates from a really racist page, for instance... every time someone shares the post, theyll be sharing links to the original page as well, boosting their Facebook points and helping to spread their hate. Its a clever ploy to spread an unsavoury core message via people who might otherwise be appalled by those views. So, if you really want to share the message, but not feed the originator, think about finding a link to the same story from another place and sharing that, or save the image and share that from your own page (careful of copyright here, of course). #ThinkBeforeYouShare
