Just added to our arsenal with Shawns experience and some handiwork. RLH is now shipping early american window frames known ( as bucks ) by special order. After reaching out to architects and historical societies. On schedule are meetings with top sales, Architectural Consultant at Marvin. Looking back on the November post you will see us at family farm harvesting Locust for sills and jambs. Trees where felled by Sandy. Currently we have a large inventory available in white oak to be laminated up to 7 thick in height. Logs cut in white oak are mostly original to window bucks 200 years ago. Large air dried sills would also open up in areas mown as checking. With ability to kiln dry wood and plane to smaller thicknesses creates a more stable sill once laminated together.
