Just an FYI from the Sidell Reporters website: A Candidate’s Forum will be held Oct. 28 for the nine school board candidates running for the proposed consolidated school district of Jamaica and Catlin. Written questions will be asked of the candidates by moderator Bill Black. The Sidell Reporter is hosting the forum and would like the public’s input on what questions to ask of the candidates. Please send your questions to editor@thesidellreporter, or mail to P.O. Box 475, Sidell, IL 61876 or drop them by the office at 116 E. Market Street in Sidell no later than Oct. 23. During the forum the audience will have an opportunity to submit additional written questions that may be selected for the board to answer. The audience will also have the opportunity to talk with each candidate following the Q & A. The forum will be held at the Jamaica High School gym at 7 p.m.
