Just an update on my nephew...and your continued prayers.... 1) 1 step forward 2 steps back is the path to recovery. T Phillip Bowers has been in the Cardiac Telemetry unit since Thursday evening. The doctors have been keeping a close eye on his heart and have discovered a small amount of fluid around his heart. They think this is what has been causing his A fib heart rate. Praying that this fluid amount doesnt increase or they will have to go in and remove it. The second step back is his leg with all the issues has more issues. It is infected so they just sent him down to surgery to put him under while they reopen his leg and clean it out. Please keep him in your prayers. 2) Hes out of surgery and it went well. He has a vacuum sponge in his leg now so the wound will heal itself from the inside out and avoid another infection. It is probably going to be painful for a bit but will heal much faster this way.
