Just before 10 PM tonight the Erie Police Department responded to calls that a man had barricaded himself in a residence on Eries west side and was threatening to kill anyone who approached. Upon arriving police closed off the area and are attempting to establish contact with the individual. We have a crew on the scene and they have verified that a young child has been brought out of the home, apparently unharmed. We will have updates on this fluid situation as soon as we have them on yourerie as they become available.
