Just finding out that the President of my Alma mater died suddenly at age 64. I am in shock and so sad. Bobby Fong was one of the few Asian-American college presidents out there and from the moment we met we hit it off. I truly admired him. The last time I saw him was in Chicago for an alumni event for Ursinus College. He laughed at me for complaining about all the edits I had to do on my cookbook and lectured me to realize what a monumental task it is to write one book let alone three. He looked down on no one. And, he and I really connected on similarities we shared being raised Asian American in the US. I admired him so much, and am truly saddened at his passing.
