Just finished a gospel conversation with another atheist. I must confess this was a hard one. Like stone-cold hard hearted. His name is Austin. He grew up in church...Southern Baptist for that matter. I was asking myself how someone one will grow up in Baptist and end up as an atheist. He believes in Taoism which deals which the philosophical treatment of self realization and that nothing matters more than what is happening at the moment. He knows the scripture, knows heaven and hell, knows Jesus and the fact that he came to die for our sins. But he seems to be skeptical about why would a powerful God allow sin to come into the earth if He knew it will send people to hell. It was the hardest conversation of my life!! He said sarcastically that i should pray that i see whatever it is that i have seen that can prove there is a God, if not then he may end up in hell, which he doesnt even believe in. He even said that he was impressed that i could speak about hell and that many christians that he has spoken to dont mention that fact. But i am still heart broken for this guy. We exchanged numbers though and said he would like to talk with me again if i am free. Please pray that God will reveal himself to him.
