Just for Alec Thompson :) The Roman road. Do you remember the way we used to lead people to the Lord in the old days, well it still works today. 1. As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one. Rom.3:10. NIV 2. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Rom.3:23. NIV 3. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. Rom.4:5.NIV 4. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Rom.5:6. NIV 5. Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. Rom.5:16. NIV 6. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom.6:23. NIV 7. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Rom.10:9-10. NIV There are many other scriptures in the Bible to back up the above but I got convicted when these were told to me. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God... Remember the old Roman road we used to bring people to Jesus? The first scriptures we used brought out our "Guilt"...First our guilt then scriptures that brought hope, then leading them in a prayer of repentance was always last. The Roman road got me...
