Just got a break from cooking felt rather accomplished when I saw and read this latest review.....Nuff respect “Extraordinary.” Reviewed 20 June 2013 NEW We arrived at the Old Friary pub, intrigued by the Caribbean food we ordered a variety of the dishes, and only ordered the Caribbean style dishes. The food was very authentic and absolutely delicious, we tried a selection of starters, mains, and a desert to which we were pleased with. Having spent a lot of time in Jamaica, we were originally curious as to whether the food is authentic or not, and it would have to be the best place I have ever had the pleasure to eat Jamaican food, other than the country itself. Even though the venue is small, and lacking a certain level of ambiance, the staff are very welcoming and friendly, and when asked for advice on the food, they were more than happy to recommend certain dishes. Such a wonderful hidden delight, we sent compliments to the chef, and left feeling full, happy and eager for our next visit. Visited June 2013 Value-5 Atmosphere-4 Service-4 Food-5
