Just got home from an 4 1/2 hour venture that started innocently with setting our turtle free at the creek between Englewood & Sand Bend in Riverhill (she outgrew her aquarium and this particular creek area has a ton of turtle friends). Long story short, I ended up IN the creek, having taken a horrible fall and did the splits (the turtle is fine, lol!). Up to my eyeballs in nasty creek water. Anyway, was able to crawl out to concrete & finally flagged down a passerby (Jeff Talarico, saw you drive home for lunch on Hwy 16, haaaa!). He helped me maneuver to end of concrete by road. EMS was able to get me to hospital. Horrible experience. Pain was so bad I thought I was going to puke and pass out. Anyway, no broken bones (thank heavens!) but severely pulled hamstring and groin. OUCH!!!!!!!!! Thank you Michael Platt, Linda Welsh Jordan, and Barbara Stockton Cordova for helping me out with visiting, prescription runs, picking up kids, etc. Off to lala land now!
