Just got off the phone with my dear friend Pat, and it was light and fun - just X-mas talk really, but it came up that today is the day that Lance Loud died in 2001. Well, there was some degree of misting up. Er..... weeping. My best friend ever (besides Justin Tanner, of course!) Anyone want to share a funny story? Im sure there are lots out there. Ill start: Lance used to always sneak out of his bedroom window at around 11:00 almost every night to meet me in my awaiting Volkswagen (one of the reasons he liked me, transparently, was that even though I was 16, I already had my own car - he was practical that way) and we would drive around the empty Santa Barbara streets - looking for something - anything - to engage us. One night, we were driving past the Taco Bell on Milpas near the High School, and he started weeping. I didnt get it! What I didnt know was he was on acid, and the Taco Bell lights were just too beautiful!
