Just how pinkwashed are we? An ad run by Komen during breast - TopicsExpress

Just how pinkwashed are we? An ad run by Komen during breast cancer awareness month in 2011 hyped mammograms by pink-washing the statistics. Its more like the just simply invented some hugely impossible numbers to beef up their propaganda statement that the key to surviving breast cancer is early screening because early detection saves lives”. What they told the public is that you gain a 75% increase in the 5-year survival rate from breast cancer with screening when the real number is a measly 0.07% (yes, I got my decimal in the right place). Truth be told, mammograms actually CAUSE 10 cancers for every 1 cancer found. This lying trickery used by Komen is highly deceptive and totally ignores the harms of screening. Don’t believe me? Just keep on doing what you are doing. Let me know how that works out for ya... If you want an alternative to the breast cancer 1.4% survival rate offered by chemo/radiation then give us a call at Dayspring Cancer Clinic. 480-699-7400 #breastcancer #breastcancerdetection #pinkwash #mammograms #breastcancerscreening #breastcancersurvival
