Just hung up the phone hysterically crying. While the operation down south is in full effect, many have forgotten the amazing soldiers and reservists who are up north serving. When I saw a post yesterday about a base up north where guys were collecting money to buy themselves food, my heart broke. Many have forgotten that we are also marking the 8 year anniversary of the war against Hezbollah in 2006. My husband fought in that war. When he reflects back, he remembers so many feelings, including many instances where he and his comrades were hungry. I am honored to work for an organization that not only fights for Israel each and every day, but stands solidly by those who are physically protecting our nation. StandWithUs will be sending pizza pies and drinks to cheer the soldiers up on this base later today. I was honored to deliver the news. His gratefulness touched my heart so deeply
