Just like dominoes - the boom in the West fuelled the Chinese economy. The booming Chinese economy fuelled the factories that needed coal. Australia was one of the few countries in the world where mining was allowed to prosper and continue. That in turn led to a 10 year boom in the Australian economy. Now one of the last dominoes has fallen starting from the West.
